Decided to grow my own herb

Sick and tierd of buying it from bums. Decided I should just grow my own. Hopefully my thermal image won't be that bright to passing helicopters as I am on the third floor. Already have a high electricty bill.

Once they get large enough, keep picking the oldest branches to let the new ones grow in.
Lightweight, rich soil, well watered, and full sun.
Last summer I had 5 cilantros and about 15 basils which I ignored(amoung others), so eventually they went to seed. Too late.

Lavender and rosemary will come back next year if the pots are big enough.

When it starts to go to seed/get flowers, don't forget to pinch off the tops, especially the basil, or it will expire.

i am going to rethink my herb garden. i dont tend to it very well. i am gonna use smaller pots, but more of them. then just use them up, and replant. i think if i maintain the rotation, i should have herbs all summer long.

I'm doing the same and spacing out the planting. I've planted some last week, I'll plant some more next week.

Hey Tom, don't expect the parsley to be ready until next fall... It takes a long time to get to maturity.

Rosemary gets huge...
