I found this in a package in the trunk of a Turbo Buick I bought. The last owner died and was a retired Air Force guy. As far as I can tell this was from the 50s, it was like it had never been out of the package. It now hangs on the wall.

Me and a couple other guys bought a 48 Plymouth in Waikiki and the glove box was full of parking tickets. We stayed with the tradidion and for the two months we had it, we kept on stuffing parking tickets in there.

Mag light
Leatherman
Ashtray full of cigarette buds.... (Man that STINKS!)

This was a company car that was handed down to me.
It was so dirty, nobody wanted to admit they had it last, so I kept the Mag light and Leatherman as a compensation for the cleaning I had to do.
Car's long gone, the flashlight and Leatherman I still have

I found a duffel bag of coke in a repo once. And i'm talking a duffel bag. Had to be at least 20 kilos of the stuff.

I gave it to the cops.

I've also found some guns in various repos. All kinds of crap you wouldn't believe.

Had a woman who brought her Jetta into the shop complaining of an intermittent buzzing noise from around the right front floorboard. We drive the car and sure enough, hit a bump turning left and there is a buzzing noise, back to the shop we go....................................her massive vibrator was under the right front seat. Boy was she redfaced when it was delivered to her with the proclamation, "we found the problem". And when I say massive I mean MASSIVE.

I have a friend that has a late model salvage yard. We've found a shotgun, lots of different ammo, and just all kinds of weird stuff.

We've also found stuff you don't want to see. There was a Jeep Cherokee that was hit HARD on the left front. It bent the firewall, floor pan, and trans tunnel. When we started really looking, there was a shoe stuck between the floorpan, and trans tunnel. Once we found that there wasn't a foot in it, it was much better. We also had a Four Runner that was hit, and rolled hard enough that it broke the intake, and one of the heads, and crumpled the roof. It had a diaper bag, and a broken car seat in it. Nothing at all made that one better. Most likely a fatality. It was stripped, and crushed within a week. It just had a bad vibe about it.

I buy a lot of seized vehicles from Denver county for our dealership and I find a lot of odd stuff in these cars. The one thing that I find in almost half of them is these little booklets of coupons for groceries. I believe it's the modern day equivalent of food stamps. The coupons say things like "1 pound of domestic cheese" "1 gallon of Milk" and "1 pound of whole wheat grains."

Beyond that I find a lot of really dirty porn videos, always shoes and expensive street clothing. Often really nice tools and a lot of half full bottles of cheap liquor or full cans of beer.

I now have an enterprising high school kid that comes and cleans them out on Saturdays for me. He donates the clothes and sells the rest of the stuff on Craigslist. I believe he makes some pretty decent money from it.

We used to repair and use as "parts cars" vehicles that had been in traumatic accidents.

Hair and skin imbedded in glass is common. Teeth go all over the place. You have to make sure you blow out the ventilation system carefully because the teeth get trapped there and will rattle around later.

Those cars were vivid testimony for the value of seatbelts. Seatbelts - they help you keep your teeth...

Hmmm. I've seen that all in the same. I won't when, or whose car. Maybe I better just shut up now...

Not exactly in the same vein as the other replys but...
Back in the day when was a VW mechanic we used a little magnetic wrench to hold the upper bolts that held the engine in type 1s. That way one person can take the engine out. I left mine on a car one day and was really missing it. Not two days later a car came in for a clutch job and I reached up to try to put a regular wrench on the bolt and there was one of the little magnetic guys. Someone else had made the same mistake I had made and gifted me a new wrench.
