A common female name in Colombia is "Usnavy" pronounced "oozna'vi" (which would be the right Spanish pronunciation). I guess American sailors leave a nice impression there ;)

Obviously my first name is Hugh. I didn't like it as a kid, but now I do. I think it's a cool name. I've had it spelled "U", "Que", "Ugh", you name it. Once in college I met a chick in a bar and told her my name was "Hugh", she said she'd never heard that name before. I said "Sure you have, Hugh Hefner for example". She looked at me and said "Wow, are you related?" True story. She was blonde.

Another true story, the writers of Star Trek-The Next Generation named the 3rd of 5 Borg that they captured "Hugh" after me. I was doing some indoor air quality consulting work for the writer's (allergies, coughing, etc.) at Paramount and I was talking to one of the writers and introduced myself and he said "Hugh, that's a perfect name and I'm going to use it in the next episode". My surprise was when I saw the episode.
