Check out this grip texture for the LCP

http://www.robarguns.com/images/lcp.jpg

These guys are local so I might do it.

Wow that's really sharp. Who sells that stuff? I just traded my P32 with CT laser, all the wolf springs, 4 mags and 75rds of Geco FMJ in for a straight up trade on an LCP today.

I got the all black model. I'm going to perform some cosmetic enhancements before i post pix. It is a very slick looking little pistol, with lots of room for some very inexpensive (as in virtually free) modifications that will make it REALLY stand out. That grip texture just takes it up yet another level!

I'll need a link for that bro. :D

Bring food, water and ammo, and you're welcome to indefinite sofa rights. ;)

I even have an extra Class III vest (rated to stop .44 magnum) that i've always kept on hand for my repo assistant. :D

Robar makes the NP3 finish and the grip mods. I just polished the feed ramp. The KelTec belt clip, extra mags, and impact guns mag extension are on their way! This this is sick accurate, seriously I couldn't believe it!

The trigger is really nice, so i'm not really surprised. It's very rare to find a spoon with such a nice trigger pull that doesn't shoot well. I was frankly stunned at how nice the trigger is for it's price point. Once i get it all set up how i want it i doubt i'll ever carry my HK P7 again...which is fine with me, the grips are too nice to mess up! :D

Thanks for the recommendation and review on the LCP, by the way. :)

You should seriously check out the CT laser man. It's the cat's pajamas. Onwheels52 said he can get them for under $140. :D

I was shooting 1 1/2" groups with my kel tec p32 at 15yds with my crimson trace and the 10rd (full grip) mags. It's amazing the difference in practical accuracy you get with a quality laser vs the crappy little iron sights you get on all these pocket pistols.

Speaking of which, the LCP should have real 3 dot sights. Or they should at least sell a model that has them. I would LOVE the LCP if it had real sights on it.

Stop kidding yourself, you won't have the P7 much longer anyway! :) I saw your posts on 5.7 forum. ;) I really was not expecting a pocket pistol to be fun to shoot but wow, I was surprised. After shooting a P238 I still prefer the LCP! I used a dremel with the dremel polishing compound and it worked great on the feed ramp. I need some 5.7 tracers from EA!

m21sniper 04-08-2010 09:37 PM

I can't sell my P7. It's an engineering masterpiece, and it's just too damn accurate. It has been my dream gun for 20 years, and i love it. I plan to lavish on the finish and make it a full blown safe queen. :D

But yes, an FN 5.7 is DEFINITELY in my future. The new EA ammo has turned the 5.7 from a curiosity into a bad sumbeach. Honestly, the Five Seven is a one of a kind. No other pistol on earth that's in production, that i'm aware of, can match it's capabilities.

In all honesty, given my geographic location, i could just sell my AR- buy a Five Seven, a viridian green laser, a slew of EA 45gr Barnes solid copper HP ammo and about a dozen 30rd mags and i'd be absolutely 100% good to go.

But aint no way i'm selling my AR either....so i'll just have to save up for the Five Seven. Hopefully by the end of fall i'll have one. :)

ZLP 04-08-2010 09:39 PM

I just have no need for lasers when I have had point shooting drilled and implanted into my brain. I might pick one of these up for my old lady and she wouldn't mind one on there. Besides that I think the *look* really good with the CT setup on there. As far as the sights I have always like low profile sights and the LCP's were perfect for me just as they are. If it were a weapon for engaging targets over 15 yards then yea I think the 3 dot would help but we won't be using it for that.

I have been trying to find a way to get SS190 but my agency does not use the 5.7 weapon system so LEO purchase is out of the question. I need to find a friend at a dept that uses them so I can get some! EA ammo is great but a buck a round is a little high. This is my second 5.7 and I still have a ton of brass from my first one that I'm contemplating reloading. If you think about it EA is just using the 5.56 projectiles so reloading can't be too hard.

m21sniper 04-08-2010 09:46 PM

With the CT laser even a pocket pistol (as long as it has a good trigger) can be a breeze making 15yd head shots at the range. It gives the spoon a capability that it never had before- that's why i like it so much. :)

What the lasers are really, really good for is dry firing. If you have any flaw in your trigger pull at all, dry firing with a laser will show it.

ZLP 04-08-2010 09:49 PM

I might get rid of an AR or 2 and get a PS90 and SBR it. I like the idea of grabbing one round for a SHTF situation.

I have yet to see, including mine, a feed ramp on an LCP that didn't need polished. Seems to be the only rough spot on the pistol. Sure made a difference if feeding hollow points. I just used a small rolled up piece of 1500 wet/dry sandpaper. Polished up nice.

m21sniper 04-09-2010 11:48 AM

EA is making their own premium brass now, if i recall correctly. I think it's available for component order.

Mine is not too bad, but i'll polish it to a mirror like finish regardless. I do that with all my automatics. It's so simple to do, why even take a chance? :)

Here's a nice product i found for the LCP, $8.00:

http://www.tractiongrips.com/sitebui...ctures/LCP.jpg
They come in black or gray.

Tractiongrips fit Ruger LCP pistols

They sell nice looking wood or carbon fiber panels as well.

I like those a lot. They were talking about doing some with the cutout for the logos which I would definitely get!

I just sent them an email suggesting that they should cut the logos out. I would love to get properly pre-cut wood panels.

What's the name of the Robar service in this picture? I was looking on their site and couldnt find it.

Well, if you survive the trip, the offer stands. ;)

Texture grip only (no grip reduction)
$85.00

I think that's the service pictured. I just don't see myself spending a third of the cost of the pistol on grips. I think the $8 stickers are a MUCH better choice.
