Ubuntu info

Okay I am going to replace the OS on my old HP laptop, I am gonna load up Ubuntu, my question is, is the driver for the wifi in the programming or do I need to find that extra. It would be nice if I could load and go but this is me and never that easy.
Thanks

Most likely already there. Would be surprised if otherwise.

The 2 laptops I installed on the wi-fi worked immediately out of the box. I have an older P4 workstation running a cheap off brand wireless card that took some work.

Very simple install. It's been a while, so I don't remember specifics, but it was quick and easy, on an older Sony laptop.
