So...the chiropractor says I've popped my pelvis out...

I just want to SCREAM...but it hurts too much when I do...so I'm whingeing here instead...

Wish I was having lots of dirty fun when my pelvis decided to just 'pop on out' this morning...crap why do these things happen when you least need them!

I am shuffling like some little ol' lady...no wait...the little ol' ladies are shuffling faster than me! This just sucks...

Going to spend the next half hour strategising how to get into bed...and then to work out just how to get out again...

Whinge over...thanks for reading ...

Other than "Get well soon", I just don't even know what to say to all of this. There are so many jokes, but it just doesn't seem right when you're in that much pain.

Oh Steve....don't worry...if I don't laugh about it I'll end up going round the twist about it instead...the kids have been laughing with me and at me all day....Mike is chuckling but knows how serious this may be too. We've watched a friend suffer for months...I am NOT going to be her!

Might want to try a traeger massage to go along with that chiropractic adjustment.

Works wonders for me.

OK Lisa, what were you doing when you started falling apart? On second thought, never mind. We don't want to trigger the censors.

Paul,

thanks - I'll ask about that...chiro has a team of masseurs working with him and treatments nearly always finish with massage. Tonight though; he was very specific - 4 minutes only as he did not want me lying on my stomach for very long with this injury...OK so that freaked me out just a little...will be quizzing him tomorrow.

Go see a medical Dr. don't waste you time with voodoo, or chiropractors. Medical science is your friend.

Get well soon.

Bugger the censors.... Jim, I thought at first this was the same old lower back injury...but when I tried a few of the remedial exercises this morning I realised it wasn't...what was I doing??? Getting something small out of a cupboard and bending the right way to do it...told you I wasn't having fun!!!

Back's been a little sore off and on for days - didn't think too much of it til this morning when it went bang!

GH85....this guy I go to is smart enough to refer me on...he works well with other medicos...if I don't get some relief and know we're moving forward in a few days then off to the doc I go.

Don't forget to see your doctor.
You may need more than a bone crusher can offer.
Chiropractors have their place and I have gone to one bent over in pain and walked out standing up but it is always a good idea to have all the info you can get.
+1 to massage. It is amazing how things move back to where they should be when the muscles around them relax and are not overcompensating for the problem.

You need a *real* diagnosis before letting anyone massage/handle/reposition you.
What you have could be anything, with a cause very local, or very remote.

Ah, forget it, let them massage you and your wallet for a few months before you get an MRI or a CT scan that will uncover the really bad stuff that has been getting worse for lack of a proper diagnosis and treatment

You guys are so cute with your arbitrary chiropractic hate...

I don't know how things specifically work in Australia, but here, if she was in need of an MRI, the chiro would have sent her off to get one. Despite your middle ages view of them, they do work perfectly well with other types of doctors, and are well trained (possible better trained that MDs) on knowing the limitations of their work.

Ah, watch out for those bloodletters too!

No hate here, but considering the pain Lisa is in and the "concern" the chiro has, I would be getting a second opinion. Chiropractors have there place in the big scheme of things, but some injuries are out of their scope of expertise.

In the U.S., chiropractors are mostly busy practicing insurance fraud...

No chiropractic hate, but please tell me how a chiro can diagnose the diference between a referred pain from a pinched femoral nerve at the lumbar level, and a bone metastasis of the anterior iliac crest?
Or a lumbar pain from discopathy and cryptogenic lumbar TB?

Why do I bother...

Oh, because one of those involves massaging her wallet, right?

Middle ages...

However, I see now that you're in Europe. I'm not clear on Swiss chiropractics, but I know quite a bit about "chiropractic" in some of the other countries around there, and could understand you not having the highest regard for them. I did specifically mention that Australia might be different than the US, just as there are about 5 levels of quality across Europe, ranging from "high" to "took a weekend class".
