OK, the jumping Lancia with flames shooting out the exhaust was cool as hell.

Very cool, thanks for posting. I love the year end compilations that were done by Pou starting in 2000, I think. Not vintage, but cool. These are a couple

This one is another favorite. I love the sound.

Those drivers have the biggest stones of any racing drivers.

Too bad we'll never see that in the USA! Spectators would be suing the drivers and auto manufacturers for the dirt in their eyes.

The video of the driver's feet was amazing!

Exactly. I still look back at the Group B cars with amazement at those virtually unregulated monsters. I loved the RS200.

I'm glad I had the chance to see them, and the sheer insanity, during their brief existence.

Here's another Luckily, the music only lasts a few seconds. I love the part at 1:02 where the quattro is heard snorting and snarling its way through the woods and then Buffum is just on it sideways and off into the distance. I still like modern rally, but I sure miss the old sounds. This was in Michigan in 1985 and you just stood wherever you wanted to watch the action

If any of you guys are interested in a vintage rally car, I know where a mid '70's Dodge Colt rally car is, with a few sets of wheels and some spare parts. Sitting in the side yard of one of my house call patients. Her son's car, he campaigned it decades ago.

I can't watch enough of those. Rally Drivers are some of the last real men in this world. Usually the best all-around drivers too. What's that circuit in Europe called, the Race of Champions or something? I've seen only a few of them, but the Rally drivers usually spank all the other Champions. Sebastian Loeb, although French, is probably the best in the world right now. <;

Thanks for those vids. Don't forget to watch the WRC on HD Theater! (a Discovery-owned channel)

Wow. That's 8 minutes of life well-invested. I love the VW Bug, drifting around the corner. And people's complete disdain for their own lives -- there are a couple of sequences of people dodging out of the way of the car as it comes around a corner. Talk about insanity!

I like to think that, if I had the time and money to kill, I'd get into rally, but I probably lack the nuts to drive like that. Wow.

Thanks,
Dan
