Techno geeks and waiting on line for toys.

Maybe its just me. But I just dont get how these techno geeks could wait on line for days just to have the latest "i" device or similar thing. Are their lives that boring and pathetic that this is all they have to live for?? Sure , when I was younger I'd wait on line overnight for concert tickets, but that was for a first come first serve one time thing. Will waiting a day or week kill you not to have your new gadget to play with??

End of rant..

It's a compulsion. It would be funny if Dr. Drew started interviewing the people in these lines...

Agreed. My time is valuable. Why would I waste it standing in line for iToys when I could spend the time surfing PPOT.

Yes, their lives are THAT boring and pathetic.

Don't forget, they will also update their blogs and techno-geek forums with the news. I can see it now...

Hey - they really don't bother me, but who do they think they are trying to impress? Better yet - who would bother to read their blogs? I mean really - why should I be concerned over someone's blog about their miserable, pathetic life, when I've got my own miserable pathetic life to worry about?!?

It's only pathetic when you pee yourself rather than lose your place in line:

I prefer fedex or USPS delivery, very non confrontational and it's seems to work very well. Get all my magazines that way.

Ok, maybe boring and pathetic was a little harsh. But I just dont see the need ( or want) to have anything that bad, that I would wait days in line for. Hell, I barely have enough time to get to all the things i have to do as it is.

People this different; should they be allowed to keep their U.S. Citizenship?

Jim, since you are different from yourself sometimes, you could probably get away with dual citizenship.

What's worse is those people who will wait in line one hour to get a free sandwich, burrito etc that normally retails for $5.

Totally agree Vinny. First off I would not stand in line for very many things and a frigging apple product is last on that list.

They want to "be the first to have one" and show off to their friends. Hope they have fun...

i can understand waiting in line but not for the first generation of any apple product. early adopters of apple's stuff always get shafted with half baked ideas

an ipad with no multi tasking? what a waist of money.

If I really wanted one - which I don't, I'd wait six months for version two with more memory and the fixes in place.
