They will never get my business because of their pop up ads that defeat every pop up blocker. Don't want my money going to support that.

We just cancelled our Netflix. Just us Redbox now. It's cheaper and newer movies.

It depends on what you like to watch on streaming - if you want the latest and greatest, it's not streaming. I like watching a lot of documentaries (NOVA, Ken Burns, etc.), and a lot of those are available for streaming, as well as older (more than a year old) movies.

Last weekend, I took my box and remote back to Comcast, and requested "Basic Cable." Most of my TV watching is done while I'm tying my tie in the morning, looking to get weather and traffic information. Who's got time to sit on their ass? If I quit working now, I think it'd take me at least to the end of the year to "catch up" on all the stuff I need to do or should do.

Still, leisure time is important. That's what they say. So I signed up for Netflix. I'm only interested in getting stuff by mail.

Firefox and Adblock Plus will take care of it. What's a pop-up?

Great service. I generally get older or less popular movies and dont really care if I have the latest and greatest. It's great for catching old TV shows too, I cant see buying something I'll only watch once.

Look through the instant queue and decide if those are the movies and shows you want to watch.
I have it, and get the one DVD at a time and stream the 'older' stuff.

Yep, me too. The instant stuff shouldn't be viewed as primary marketing fodder for Netflix, it's like a bonus. Remember, BluRays still show up in the mail to watch
I have to give them credit though, the quality of their online streams are getting much better, and they've been adding instant material in leaps and bounds.

We've got a 3mb DSL connection and the quality of the Netflix streams are good enough that it looks better than just "acceptable" on our 105" screen now. Early last year I wouldn't have said that.

Rick, you need a better pop-up blocker! With Adblock Plus on Firefox I NEVER see those ads.

Is Redbox the same idea as Netflix?
