Found a cell phone today
Not a phone really, a blackberry.. Probably tossed from a car. It was near my mailbox across the road. I turned it on, to see if I could find the owner. A text message popped up first...can't remember it exactly.
Something like: "You stupid *****...I hate you. I have used my 9 mm. to put other stupid *****es in ditches & you're next." I turned it off, took it home, called the Sheriff's office. It wasn't long until a deputy showed at my door. I gave him the phone. Probably just kids being stupid...I'd like to think some bimbo teen got her phone back after having to do some serious explaining to mom & dad. But jeeze...that's just crazy! Note: Phrase starred out refers to a female canine...

Hmmm. I wonder if the cops actually took it seriously.

Me too. In light of some of the crazy things going on these days, I hope they did... Deputy was able to see the text, but battery died just after. He said he'd take it to home base, let the "experts" look at it. Oh well, not my problem now.

Did you check the nearby ditches for the owner?

LOL...nope. But thinking about it, there are lots of places to hide bodies in both of our states.

This got me thinking about something I've been meaning to do. I have an IPhone, and I have to lock it per company requirements. What if someone found it at work and couldn't open it to see who owns it? So I took my wallpaper pic, opened in in "Paint" and put in a text message with my name and home phone No. Someone might call, but they probably wouldn't be bothered to take it to ATT to have them find out who the owner was.
