Lawn Weed & Seed in One Product - Does It Exist?

I have Googled and looked around the local garden center. So far no luck. I thought there was a grass seed out there that had a weedkiller along with it? Does such a thing exist?

Yeah I have seen several weedkiller/fertilizer products.

What, we can put a man on the moon but we can't kill weeds & plant grass with a single product? Pshaw.

Why don't you come over here (IN YOUR 944) and demonstrate your lawn solution, and while you work in the yard, I will prep the food & pack the cooler for your camping trip.

WIN WIN!

Thats just a little out of the way...

Besides... my extent of yardwork is riding the ZTR.... I'm not a gardner... Hell if it was up to me and dad our entire acreage would either be paved or planted to pasture grass that doesn't get mowed....

I think the problem is the 'weed' portion doesn't distinguish between weeds and germinating grass seed.
That's what I think.

yes - Weed and Feed is the most common - if they are still allowed to sell it...

there are herbicides that kill plants other than grasses - UNFORTUNATELY, they are not good for you. or kids... or pets...

If I need to use an herbicide, I use RoundUp and very small amts. directly onto dandelion leaves etc. It interrupts photosynthetic pathways so it kills all plants - be careful or you'll get a dead spot of grass. But it is rel. "safe" - you can use it in an aquarium. Others won't use any herbicides & pull all weeds.

FYI:
LandscapeOnline.com :: Article : Are Herbicides Safe?

I would plant or overseed the grass, and if I absolutely had to use something harmful (too many weeds for Roundup or manual pulling), have a pro come in and spray. The instant they arrive, drive away with all dogs/kids/etc. & take a nice vacation. When you get back, keep every body off the lawn for a day, a week, or 3 years - depending upon your level of paranoia.

the timed-release pellets of chemicals in Weed & Feed will create a chronic exposure condition - it's up to you to decide if you want that or not
