Today's Gardening buddy
Found this little fellow, rescued him from the lawn mower! Seems he has an appetite for slugs so he's welcome to hang around in my yard as far as I'm concerned. I think he needs to put on some weight...

I hit the brakes on the zero turn all the time to save snakes, field mice or frogs. I like to have "critters" in my yard. I only have 4 acres but I just cant run them over.

what kind is it? im in the burbs and run accross nuets, salamanders and there are even a few blue belly lizards around. the lizards keep the 1 yo cat real busy.

Glad to know you didn't just whack the head off like some folks would do- this weekend I spent three hours trying to get a 6 ft. (not kidding) black snake out of an old 10' deep bombshelter I started digging on the other side of the fence. He must've been stuck there for days because it really, really stank.

There are rules for critters on our place.... Rabits, lizards, not biting creatures in general get a pass (unless the jack russel can get to them). Snakes if non poisonous and not bull snakes get a pass even near the house.... Bull snakes get a pass if they are out in the pasture. But once they get up around the house or shop... Theys snake meat... They like to get aggressive when startled... not cool...
