insulation - did it once in an attic, never again. I have also insulated when finishing my basement which was much better but still my least favorite job.

Another good one, roofing. Yeah, drywall, paint and roofing.

I will do some minor plumbing, but I can not properly solder a joint to save my life.

That's a tough question, but after the weekend's fiasco I'm gonna have to go with concrete countertops. I've been shocked too many times to be concerned about electrical (after I learned that my grandfather wired everything hot, I took up the #$*& practice on everything up to and including installing breakers).

I can do anything.. anything but finish something I start unless it's something for someone else. and they are paying me. but then I put off collecting for way too long. I have an intense but short attention span.

This is great....I don't mind putting the drywall up, but the taping, mudding, sanding...not good. Also, plumbing I haven't tried (my dad was good, but stupid me never learned ) On cars, I'm pretty good at bolting stuff on and off, but a terrible diagnostician. Sometimes it's easier just to replace everything. Bodywork and painting, would love to learn, maybe I'll take a class someday.

I really dislike tape and mudding drywall, but I don't mind hanging board.
The rest of it I can do.
There are some jobs that are worth jobbing out though.
When I was doing the last reno, when the gaps in the hardwood needed to be filled in (where the walls were previously) I was never more thankful that I had paid for a job after watching what those guys that did the job went through.

I used to be a DIYer...now about all I do is yard work...and as little of that as possible. I don't even write checks...I let Cindy do that.

I thought DIY was all about saving money, until like someone mentioned, you put a price on YOUR time (& frsutration). So now I just do things because I feel like it (ie, the fun of it)...and pay someone to do everything else. I'd rather work harder at my job than screw around with something like dirty plumbing. Could I do it...yes, and I have in the past. But now that I have a decent paying job...I'd rather pay someone else to use my time for myself.

I can do everything but my weak point with diy really is patience. i just don't have any. but my weakness is probably electrical work.

Weak spot? I can't really think of one. I enjoy tackling new types of projects and learning/perfecting new DIY skills. My only fault is probably the speed at which I accomplish some tasks compared to a "professional", but my quality is typically just as good if not better.
