Polaroid SX70 aficionados?

I have a couple, bought 'em really cheap, SN's tell me they were made in '74 and '75. Both are the chrome and leather versions. Very cool design, IMHO, both are in great shape, bellows, leather, folding mechanism, all really nice.

Similar cameras list on 'bay for a lot more than I gave for these, I notice that there is a company making fresh film for them

MY QUESTION THEN, are these experiencing a resurgence in use amongst aficionados?

(I suppose it might be worth my while to buy a pack of film and test them, for fun.)

crap, had one and Polaroid sent me a coupon for there next gen unit for like 1/2 off. It was a piece of plastic crap. regret that to this day. Not that I use it but the sx-70 is a instrument while things today are cheap.
