VW commercial, smack, there's a blue one

The commercial bugs me, where did I miss this, did people really do this, smack someone when a VW drives by, smack, there's a red one.

It has to do with the whole punch buggie thing. When a beetle drove by you punched your friend and called out the color. At least that is how it worked when I grew up in the 70's-80's..

The game was called "Punch Buggy". You punch your sibling when you see a VW bug and declare the color, so that they can't use the same one to punch you back.

The game only works with original Bugs IMO. And it can really only still be played in Mexico.

There are the more adult versions as well.... 4play (foglights and headlights on) and CritterCritter....

Both involve no hitting.... Only articles of clothing going away.... Best to play with lots of girls.....
