For a minute there I thought I was going to hear you say you play a fretless. Who is that in the youtube clip doing the lead?

That's the first pic I've seen of him playing one that's FRETTED. I thought Nostatic only played fretless. The guitar player is John Mayer, and the video is of The John Mayer Trio.

Pino has moved to fretted in his later years. New challenge to get a unique sound.

Yep, he even has a Fender Pro Shop re-issue in his name. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around his fretless stuff. I don't think the guy has ever played anything that wasn't just right for the part.
