Tasers have their place, fleeing a crime scene when he might actually escape it is appropriate. There was no danger of this person escaping, nor was anyones life in danger.

I have no problem with the guy getting tazed. He clearly asked for it. And the value of the game stoppage should be assessed and passed on to him as well.
