Daddy got a pair of new.....Wave Runners!
Well, new to me! A close friend of my dad's gave me (and my sister) these Wave Runners and after a few months of talking about the "donation", they delivered from Florida today! My only investment into them was buying a tandem trailer, pay for the shipping, purchase a few parts (reverse cable, batteries, fuel filters, etc.), re-upholster the seats, and have them detailed before we head to the lake! And who says there isn't any good people left in this world!!!
When I get the Wave Runners back in a few weeks, I will post a few before and after shots.

Lake Guntersville will no longer be safe (or are you going to dunk 'em in the river)?

Nice, nothing more fun on the water, imo
What are those, 2004 XL800's? How many hours? The engine on our 03 GP1300R grenaded at the end of last season with about 90 hours on it. Otherwise it is in pristine condition. Found a guy on a waverunner bbs that offered to rebuild the engine for free, we just had to supply the parts. All in all my dad told me it will ran about $800-$1000, but the engine is done and the guy is reassembling it right now. 10 more days until I'm back on the water and I can not wait.

We're about 15 miles from Honeycomb/Snug Harbor so we'll spend the majority of our time there. Around the 4th of July, we'll be heading down to Lake Oconne for a week or so.
The family that owned them had a place on Naples Bay and they hard ever used them (both have about 30 hrs each), so they thought it would be "enjoy" them more in Alabama......I have to agree! I think both are 2000 1200 XL's.

The low hours explains the great condition the hull appears to be in, nice. You will definitely be happy with the 1200cc engine, they should do a touch over 60mph (the speedometer is often referred to as a "dreamometer" due to being highly inaccurate.) Despite the fact that yours are 3 seaters, they are old enough that they are still relatively small and tossable. The newer ones are becoming boats. Have fun
