Tomato growing question
I am growing tomatoes from seeds, they are about 1 inch tall. Each container has 3-4 plants, at what point do you remove the weakest plants if in fact you do? And when should they be put in a larger permanent pot?
Thanks in advance ![]()

I usually wait until the tomatoes show up on the table at work with a sign saying "Help Yourself"...

i would put them in the ground (or pot) and let them grow a bit. then just clip the weaker looking plant.

Since you typically only plant one per pot (or a couple of feet apart)...anytime you like...for both questions. If you have several together, you should probably wait until they are about 6 inches or so...and seperate them all into different containers. Most will survive. if you shade and water them well at first.
