EEK! I'm selling my 911 so I can buy a...

... wait for it.....

a TRUCK.

I've been thinking of doing this for over 2 years. I just don't drive it much. I'm at the point in my life where I want to do other stuff. A car like mine requires a little more attention than I care to share.

I'll most likely buy an old used truck to bang around with. Fishing, camping, etc...
Maybe buy a camper too!

There's a guy in the UK expressing some interest so we'll see.

Check out the ad in the classified section. Is 20+ pictures enough?

If the greens ever get so powerful that we are allowed only one vehicle...my choice would be a pickemup! Good luck with your sale, but too bad you didn't decide to make the move when the "tulip mania" over early 911's was at it's peak.

FWIW, I linked your ad to my Turkish friend...asked him if any of his friends were still looking for an early car....judging by the ad, you did well by the '72...

Are you selling or trading? I want to trade mine simply because I'd love to find someone who would love my Porsche like I will love their car. Except I would like to trade my Porsche for a diesel Benz-G which are difficult to come across.

Simply perfect, there's not anything I would change. Best of luck with the sale, but you won't need it.

It's hard to live without a truck, or truck-ish vehicle. My Land Cruiser gives me a lot of utility, and in its own way is a fun vehicle to drive.

No they can't. They're trucks. They're for farmers to move stuff and bale hay.

I don't call that a truck. If a truck has 4 full size doors that's fine with me as long as the bed is 8' and it has four tires on the rear axle.

What's that little thing hitched to the back of that really short van?

Yeah guys, a truck has an 8 foot bed. If you can't carry a sheet of plywood with the tailgate closed then you have a hatchback without the hatch.

Don't be a hater just because it garners more attention than a Porsche. One of it's features is it's 10,000+ lb tow rating. That means it'll tow the 911 while carrying two kids, Dixie, and the load of supporting crap with aplomb. (Heck, I could fill the bed with cinder blocks as well and it would still get us where we need to go.) And when not towing it manages to achieve over 17 MPG.

Yeah, I think it meets the definition of a truck perfectly...

beautiful car! I'm glad it's way out of my price range

Since you're looking for an old truck, what's the reason for selling? Old trucks aren't terribly expensive....

Love my Dodge P/U and wish I had gotten one years ago. That said, not gonna get rid of the 911.
