What was the name of that movie?

This one's driving me nuts.
I was asked a trivia question and I can't remember the name of the actor who played in a movie that came out probably in the 80's.
It was about a young accountant for the mob who turned state's evidence so they put him in the witness protection program, posing as a high school senior.
He ended up being the coolest kid in school and they voted his senior class president or something like that.
It was kind of a stupid movie.
Anyone remember what that was movie was called or who the lead actor was?

John Cryer was the lead in that movie.... (He's Alan, the brother of Charlie in the TV show "Two and a Half Men." Also played "Duckie" in "Pretty in Pink" opposite Molly Ringwold.

Movie name coming up soon...

Edit: Move title is "Hiding Out."

A very succesful stock broker is called to court to testify against a mob boss who was into some inside trading. They hide him because of death threats. He gets caught in a gun battle and has to flee. He ends up hiding out as a student in a high school. He has to adjust to how things have changed as a teenager.
