Saw him in '77 w/ Rainbow, front row...even got a little piece of Ritchie's strat he busted up on stage, great stageman...RIP RJD.

I sure do hope he's the First in Line....
I remember walking past him several times at the NAMM show in California thinking "geeze, that's one small guy" and wasn't a sure who he was offhand. He was a small, thin dude for sure. Amazing, the voice that came out of him...

I was bummed to hear about this -- he sure rocked hard and I wish I'd had a chance to see him live back the day. Coincidentally I'd just recently been listening to some fantastic live Dio boots from the early/mid 80's. He ran a tight band and seemed to really put on a great show for the fans.
