Can anyone in/near Oceanside, Ca. do me a favor ?

I found a motorcycle on Craigs list and if anyone in that area is willing and able (and knows something about older bikes) it would be a huge favor.
I have some nice early 911 parts I would trade for the effort, or I'll send some live Maine lobsters or something.

It would be a plus if it was one of the regulars here with a good rep.(or a good "bad" rep)

Pm me if interested.

Zip is 92057
That would be San Diego, near Escondido.

Wish it was near Monterey. I know folk there.

DAMN !
The one that got away....

I couldn't compete with the "25 year old hot chick" that beat me to it.
Sure wish I could get a pic of her on it at least.

Thanks to all who were willing to do a stranger a favor.

And the one that didn't.
One door closes and another one opens.

Now if one of you guys in the Oceanside area could get me the address of that 25 year old hot chic that bought the other one........

No wonder you were keeping quiet about the kind of bike you were hunting.

Both nice bikes, and yours has the funky chainguard!

Score!

Tell us all about it!

HA ! Yes, that is why.

It's a 1962 Model 8 Metralla.
200 cc - 4 speed - 2 stroke
just what I was looking for - fits me and how I will use it better than the Mk2.
Restored to like new by Hugh.
(except for the Avons - those will need to be replaced)

An amazing machine.
Sounds incredible.
Smells incredible.
Handles incredible - weighs around 210 lbs.

Funny getting used to the kick start and foot brake on the left and shift pedal on the right.

It really is the motorcycle version of my 911 Normal.
