Crazy Heart

Just watched "Crazy Heart". Boy it hit really close to home for me. Sure showed what playing music for a living is like for real. Also gave me a reflection on how my life would have been had I not gotten sober when I did. Every musician and aspiring musician should see it and take it's message.

Have you seen "Once"? If not, check that out. Stunning film. I'm going to put "Crazy Heart" on the queue. Back to writing charts for "Gaucho"...

This is what I think about everytime the guitarist in my old high school rock band talks about "what if." I am happy for the boring suburban lifestyle I lead. Larry

Crazy Heart just went to the top of my queue. I had intended to see it on the big screen, but life got in the way. Though not particularly insightful regarding the music industry, I can recall being STUNNED by the performance of Robert Dufall in Tender Mercies. Some actors pretend to be someone else......and some actors BECOME someone else. How do they do that?

One of my favorite all time moves. Although the movie may be to slow for some people, I think it is one of Duvall's best.

Great movie.. You can almost smell the booze oozing out of Jeff Bridges skin. My only negative comment was the movie made getting sober look sort of easy. Oh and Colin Farrell was pretty good as well
