A lot of people that have been there have told me the chicks in SoCal are totally fked in the head materialistic narcissists, and are largely made of (and only interested in your) plastic.
So it's not like Jeff and Joe are the only ones saying that. There are actually a lot of hot chicks in the Philly area, but there are a ton of fat, nasty dogs too. I import almost all my kitty nowadays anyway. This past weeks playmate came from Manhattan. Right now i'm chatting with a couple ebony Kali girls. One is a nurse in LA, and the other manages a clothing store in SF. Can you believe that with 4 weeks lead time round trip tix from Philly to SF are only about $220 even with no special discounts at all? It's freaking amazing how cheap airfare is nowadays. |
Some nice ones in SoCal, that much I'll admit. Many more that are good to look at but utterly unbearable once they start running their flytrap. Annoying, obnoxious, full-of-themselves, shallow, high-maintenance, narcissistic gold-diggers - quite a good many of them. The stereotypes are correct in many (though not all) cases. And there are plenty of chunky monkeys there too - the percentage is quite higher among minority groups, and SoCal has a LOT of people in those minority groups, so the percentage of chub is higher than you'll see other places.
I stand by my comment about AZ. Good lord man - go spend a weekend in Tempe or Scottsdale sometime! Although some (not all) of the Scottsdale girls are just as bad as LA with respect to being insufferably obnoxious. +1 to the comment about too much plastic in LA too - plastic faces, plastic boobs, plastic personalities... Nothing genuine far too often. I'm really glad I met my wife before I moved out there - I shudder to think of what kind of manipulative shallow types I MIGHT have gotten involved with otherwise. It's not a good scene for anyone looking for relationships with people with any characteristics other than "nice figure, nice hair, big t1ts". |

J/K, know you are not paying for it, just had to jab you a bit! :) |

A friend of mine otoh, using the same online places as me, ran in to a higher percentage. Why? Ummm...imho he's oblivious to the clues and attracts that type of woman. Shallow begets shallow. ymmv. |
PoP is just a loser. He looks at the world and sees schit. He lives in SoCal and sees ugly women. His perception is so unbelievably whacked that he cannot be trusted as a reporter of anything. I've proven it more than once, it now is just tiresome.

There are stunning women everywhere. (Except Tempe) One of the nice things about getting older is that the universe of attractive women just keeps getting larger. California is pretty damn fine. But if women are the main criterion—well my bum-buddy Joeksa is right: the Ukraine is pretty well top of the pile. I have never, ever seen so many stunningly gorgeous women in one place. You don't walk around Kiev— you pole-vault the entire time. |

Denis, You are so FOS at times. There are some nice ladies in the Mesa/Tempe area. Why? Mormons son, and many of them are absolutely beautiful and lots are not religious. Then we have the university that attracts them from around the country. Just stay away from Snottsdale unless you like fake titties, high maintenance and snooty. They are cute but not worth it... IMHO. Joe A |
In partial support of speeder, I just spent morning brunch at the Grove (Hollywood). As much eye candy in two hours as most places offer in an entire day. Of course they may all be high maintenance beyotches, but I'm married so what do I care?

At this time of his life, I don't think Leland is all that concerned about the ladies, plural...just one is his concern now.

It was our very own snob Dot who said un-needed things about Tempe. |
Jeez, Joe, why so sensitive? You weren't too kind to me when I mentioned meeting Bill Clinton.
If you dish it, take it as well. |
Milt,
Am more than happy to take it when its deserved. To have people sling crap about Arizona when its not needed nor deserved will envoke a reaction. You may like Bill, while a whole bunch of us (like millions and millions) feel that he and his wife are the anti-Christ. Now, if you want to talk about meeting Pam Anderson, then thats a whole different thing! :) Joe A |
Personally, it seems that CA is designed for the very rich and the very poor. There are many beautiful sites...but if I lived there, I simply would not have the time or money to enjoy them. Traffic and smog in LA do not seem as bad as it they were in the 90's...but traffic is still pretty bad...especially if you have to take the freeway during rush hour.
Now that I don't have any kids at home, I would consider living there (for a few years) if I could double my income. I stll could not have as nice a home...or even a place to park my cars...but the climate, beach and car scene are pretty cool. It just costs too much to live. The biggest problem that I see is the illegal immigrant population and the liberal attitude that seems to reward lazy losers and punish the hard working middle class. What disappoints/annoys me the most about CA is that it just does not quite meet its potential. Perfect weather, a beautiful coastline, fantastic farmland, car culture...yet elected officials seem hellbent upon completely ruining it. |
Tempe???????
Is the the same Tempe I drove through???? Christ you'd want to check for fleas and rabies right off the bat. |
Here's a hint - it's where ASU is. And a thriving nightlife scene. Lots of bars, clubs and other cool places to hang around. And absolutely bursting at the seams with friendly, great looking young ladies. I greatly enjoyed my days over there.

Well I have to eat some serious crow here, and apologize to the fine women of Tempe.
I just looked at a map, and the town I was confusing with Tempe—though god knows why–was Yuma. I thought someone was suggesting Yuma was the place to go for fine womenfolk, and that is what caused my unwarranted remarks. Mea culpa. Tempe. Yuma. Oprah. Uma. |
I need to go out and buy a lotto ticket. I agree with Dot and that happens very rarely!
The ladies that I have seen in Yuma (no imports here) are not the nicest that I have seen in this state... |
