Revisiting Cigars Thread Anyone? Affordable "Premium" Smokes?
I guess from time to time we need a good cigar thread. I have been loving Siglo Limited Reserve IV and VI cigars recently. I've always like higher gauge cigars and these Siglo's are a treat. I see that JRCIGARS.com has a weekly special on them that takes them from my usual $7.75 a stick to $25 for 6 of them.
JRCigars.com: SIGLO LIMITED RESERVE I can also recommend the Famous-Smoke.com STUBBIES. A wonderful figurado short smoke, plus if you buy a daily deal you get free shipping with them so a whole box of STUBBIES is only $39.99. Famous Stubbies Natural Cigars So what do you recommend!? |

Get Arturo Fuente seconds. Very cheap, made from leftover Ashton tobacco.
They don't burn as well due to the scrap tobacco, but it's a small price to pay at 1/4 the price of an Ashton.

The new (Jan 1) fed tax assures that there will nevermore be a good five cent cigar...

Depends on how you define cheap... I own a LOT of cigars, and have some which are quite expensive but generally smoke cigars which are under $5/stick. I think the most expensive cigars I have bought in box quantity in the last 3 years were about $7.50 a stick fwiw.
My favorite "cheap" cigar (in this case under $2/stick) is the Consuegra #84 Maduro, which is a factory second of the El Rey del Mundo Flor De Llaneza. They often benefit from aging and are an excellent medium to full bodied cigar, and I would consistently rate them higher than most $5 sticks on the market. JRCigars.com: CONSUEGRA - PYRAMID #84 MADURO CIGARS, From Honduras, 6.12 x 54, $49.95 (MSRP $125.00)
