Come here at least once a year.
Got into town yesterday. Big difference this year. Feels like a third world country. And I am not referring to people. Just a general impression. Everything just feels a bit older, greyer, dingier. Are they not watering the grass anywhere? Don't recall it being this brown.

It is because you came in June. It is called "June gloom" We live with this weather pattern every year like clockwork. Water is also rationed due to drought, you can get a fine for using water at the wrong time of day or washing down your driveway.

I'd say the rest of the observations are correct also.
Certain parts of California ARE already third world. |
