I was on the phone with the folks at Armalaser today, they have a laser coming out in September that i'm going to use. Until then, it will be sporting a naked rail.

I had gotten a Laserlyte QD-U V2, but it doesnt zero right, and the dot is all deformed for some reason. So it went in my spare parts box.

What about the effect for your P7 with the laser? last week, i bought 5mw green laser pointers, then i modified it and installed on my pps, improves the hit rate greatly!:D

The reliability issues are what turned me off 1911s for so long - read in a gun rag "new colt gold cup, sent to this smith and that smith and $2k and 9 months later we have a shooter".

So I finally broke down, bought a Rock Island Armory 1911 - basic GI model - for $300 new (dealer buddy is good for wholesale prices). Put 200 rounds of 230 grn FMJ thru it, had 4 jams in the first 100 rounds. Then put 200 rounds of the Remington 230grn JHP thru it, flawless. And I've since put about 2k of FMJ thru it with no issues at all.

So I'm a happy heavy iron user - the FAL and the 1911, a great combination.

Need to get my 12ga pump fixed (extractor issues from thousands of rounds of skeet) and set back up (plastic stock w/ speed feed, 20" barrel) and I'll be complete. Then I just need to be able to afford feeding 'em on a regular basis.

The 1911's 2 piece feed ramp design is completely obsolete.

With proper tuning the 1911 is tough to beat, two piece ramp and all.

That's some great shooting Henry.
Thank you
With a 30 year break I really expected a longer learning curve but the 1911 fits my style and it's like riding a bike: you never really forget.

I'll tell you, earlier when I shot my Glocks, the group looked like a modified choke shotgun blast.:)

Further proof that it's not the arrow, it's the Indian.
