My favorite spoon

I just got my P7 back from the gunsmith:

I was on the phone with the folks at Armalaser today, they have a laser coming out in September that i'm going to use. Until then, it will be sporting a naked rail.

I had gotten a Laserlyte QD-U V2, but it doesnt zero right, and the dot is all deformed for some reason. So it went in my spare parts box.

That is slick! Seriously slick!

My favorite spoon is a rifle...Remington Model 721 in .257 Roberts caliber, just a 4X scope with duplex hairs..An oldie but a goodie...

Very, very nice, sniper. As you know, my tastes run a bit different. Favorite spoon and favorite load, Colt Peacemaker with RCBS .45-270 SAA cast from wheelweights and lubed with SPG, seated over 16.5 grains of 2400 for about 950 fps.

Dang snipe. You won't be able to carry that thing in your waist anymore :). Is the rail welded on?

The Lego rifle is badarse!

sc_rufctr 06-11-2010 09:47 PM

Damn nice... That looks like something you could always rely on.

This one is on my shopping list. :D (we can't/don't carry here)

It still fits in my holsters if i take the laser off the rail, so i can still carry it with the tritium night sights OR the Fastfire II HUD if i want. :)

Options baby, options!

JEFF: NICE HOGLEG!!!

HHI: Thanks!

Geronimo '74 06-12-2010 12:26 AM

looks good!
It did change the overall shape of the gun a little since it does not have the slimmer looking front end anymore.
But it is not a change for the worse, no sir-eee!

(I still like the P7 in black and stainless tho)

257 Roberts and 204 Ruger are the hot calibers here.

cant find my pics for the hk usp compact tactical .45 thats believe or not, is still a virgin. also got the UTL MKII integral light for it and it also werks on the hk compact 9mm thats bean ROBARED.

ODDJOB UNO 06-12-2010 06:56 AM

here we go,just took some pics. the bottom is the smith und vesson "K" frame model 66 .357 i have mentioned. built 12/13/04 for an australian cop contract. model 66 production ceased on 12/31/04. this is (1) of the last 1000 made as per smith und vessons factory pistole gurus. contract specified integral lock NOT to be operable(go figure for those goofy aussies and their goofy gun laws) anyway its a BARNEY FIFE version and wasnt shot. pristine condition and i stole it. i have been playing with it and when the "J" frame model 60 .357 is done at thegunsmith.com, i will drop this off for a supersmith job also. single action is butter, but double action needs some TLC.

my reasoning for .357's aside i love smith und vessons, is they are cheap to feed on .38's, and i can hand them off to my kids and they cant hand me back a wad of poo falling off rocks and out of trees while hunting like they would with my semi-autos that i have a hell of alot of time and money into.

and the fact that 9mms and .45's are manstoppers.the .357's are fun and with .38 reloads from mi amigo very cheap to shoot. the .357's and .44 mags are nasty azz KRITTER STOPPERS(please read azcentral.com re: the mtn lion attack in walker az. on the guy who barely escaped with his azz).

.357's originally developed in 1933 to penetrate armor vests and TO STOP CARS! so with the correct hunting load these pups will do the trick on any kritter who decides to eat my kids or me. and its a hell of alot easier ripping off boxes of ammo on the .357's vs. the .44mags.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1276354586.jpg

ODDJOB UNO 06-12-2010 06:59 AM

p.s. if ya have a HK USP full size or compact, the UTL MK II light by insight technologies is flat out the katz AZZ! takes about 1 second to install or remove on/off the integral rails. flat azz will blind you or badguy/badkritter when thangs go bump in the night.

i spent the early am this morning, using mothers polish on them. ie. q-tipped the hell out of them ,compressed air after, and then a swab of CLP down the barrel and all the kids are happy and they hurt yer eyeballs to look at them they are so polished.

had to actually stare at the middle juan. i bought it one day, fired the hell out of it the following morning and then dropped it off later that morning at noon at thegunsmith.com for its supersmith job and i miss it already.

i have a very loving and intimate relationship with each and everyJUAN!

Waaaay cool

m21sniper 06-12-2010 08:16 AM

I reaaaaaally want a threaded barrel for my P7, but from the prices i've seen, it would cost me at least a thousand bucks to have my pistol modified to take a can...

I'll be adding some polished hard chrome accents on mine sometime in the future.
