Doctors

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians

(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171

Guns

(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is

80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80 million)

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths

per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner

is 0.000188

So, statistically, doctors are approximately

9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

Almost everyone has at least one doctor.

This means you are over 900 times more likely to be killed by a doctor as a gun owner!

Doctors "more dangerous" than guns, what a load of BS

Percentage of living people that breathe: 100%
Survival rate of people who keep in living when breathing stops: 0%

That assumes that each gun is owned by a unique individual.

But, having spent time on PPOT, I have realized that each gun owner owns approximately 1,000 guns each.

80,000,000 divided by 1,000 equals 80,000

1,500 deaths divided by 80,000 actual gun owners = .01875

So, it's clear that guns are still slightly more dangerous than doctors.

Guns can't make boobies bigger, either. So guns = clear FAIL against doctors.

What this fails to show is that sick/dying folks are thrown out in front of doctors all day every day. If sick people were randomly walking down range at active gun ranges all day every day....
