I have also noticed that the camera 'ready' time is significantly longer and switching from still to video takes a few seconds where as before it did not.

I almost want to switch back to the old code. I don't need any of these features. Folders are neat but I need my camera to be ready so I can catch my 2 year old doing something unexpected.

I think they made the camera slow to make me feel like I need to upgrade.

Uh...how do you go back to the old code? Can you even? I suspected you might not be able to...

I'm in a similar boat. I've got over 9k emails from ages ago that have reloaded. Never a problem until now.

How do I delete them w/o going through every single one? Do I have to change a setting on my iPhone or my laptop?

My computer, which is my primary email device leaves it up there for 10 days and then takes it down (overly cautious safety precaution in case my computer dies - habit I started years ago).

Where's the video app? I had Quik Video I bought, but lost it.

3GS can do video, 3G cannot. Which do you have?

The 3GS will give a battery % next to the battery image in the upper left.

MB046LL. I just read the 3GS came out last year, so I must gave a 3G. I can buy Quik Video again for .99 cents IIRC.

Any luck on your emails?

Did mine, but I had to download and install iTunes over my existing iTunes as it wouldn't update it. It took forever, but I kept it connected to my Mac, then after about 15 minutes after it was done there was a message that I had an update from my provider. Once that came down the phone was as fast as always (3G), before that everything was slow.

I'll get a new one when they are out in Canada...

Windows users should handle all Apple/iTunes updates with CAUTION.

I have not updated to version 4 OS but I did try to install the latest iTunes update on my Win7 workstation. Install went smooth until I tried to sync my iPhone. Despite Win7 seeing the phone iTunes did not. Spent the better part of the morning reading Apple forums and trying suggestions (usb drivers, reinstall, permissions, services, etc...) to no avail. The 'fix' was to roll back to the older version of iTunes.

Another Windows issue was using the iTunes "restore" function. My one and only attempt at a restore ended up failing and rendering my iPhone a fancy paper weight - iPhone would not boot. Luckily I have a Mac (family computer) running iTunes downstairs and using that setup the restore worked fine.

I have had my iphone not show up in itunes or even the computer when plugged in. Going into the device manager and deleting it and redetecting it usually clears that up.

If it doesn't show ip there, deleting it from the usb devices sometimes works too.

Yeah, the slow response on the camera is a dream killer to me. I've got to figure out how to downgrade

I have a 3GS with iOS4 and a 3GS with 3.13 in each hand testing your comments about the slow camera response. Cannot duplicate your issue.

Overall iOS 4 is faster. Shutter speed (at least the virtual shutter on the screen is blazing fast on 4 compared to the 3.13 version). Hitting the camera icon on each phone - iOS 4 opens a little faster. Switching to video is very similar - too close to call.

While the double click home button option is gone with iOS 4 due to multitasking taking over the home button, a quick access option is moving the camera icon to the botton left corner or on the bottom dock row.

I would reinstall iOS 4 one more time and reboot a few times to see if the phone improves.

I reinstalled and things seem 'better' - maybe the same but I'm a little wary.

The double email thing is gone though - so that's better. It was annoying.
