Post What is up with the 911 guys?

I don't know about you guys, but I frequently view the 911 BBS as well as the 944 one. I want to get a 911 some day, and it is an incredible resource. But I find it really amusing that these guys talk tons of ***** about us over there on the 911 board, but are always there to chime in on our "stupid immature posts". Come on 911 guys, you know you find our immaturity amusing

OK, I admit, I do!!! Sometimes!

It goes too far sometimes too, but I'm not your Momma so I can't tell you what to do.

Hey Rollin's

what kinda isssht ?

Mind you there are some ppl who have 11's think they are very elite.

Mind you if Daddy paid for your first Porsche and put you through Harvard, so would you !

It's coming from all sides now too! Have you seen some posts on the newly formed 'elite' 944 Turbo forum? I know it's done in jest, but I feel that the 944 n/a is becomming somewhat of an outcast child. So what should we do? Pound on the 924/914 crowd? I don't think so.

It's ok to have a little joking around, but jeez people, we all drive PORSCHES: that's gotta mean something! Joking is one thing, bashing and being dis-respectful is another.

On the flip side: there are a few 911 owners out there who have had in the past, currently own, or are looking for a 944 as a daily driver. Those people have positive things to say about our cars: for that I am grateful.

Lets keep the BS away from this BBS!

True Word's Z-man,
Yeah the N/a vs turbo. Had heard thing's like that.

There even a bit of elitism between the 11's air v water etc.

Sure some mickey taking is fine. I can take a joke as well as anyone else.

Are there instances of ppl getting really abnoxious ? Then mr Webmaster should get them off.

I "chose" to buy and drive an "n/a 44 s2 cab"
'cos it's a kool looking car

peace to all my porkin' bros.

thanks man I love you to !

I should really re-iterate.
I don't dislike all 11' drivers or think that they are all elitist twat's. Just as I don't dislike an 11' cos it's an 11'.

It's not the car or marque that makes 'em the way they are it's "them" that make them the way they are

..they ended banning you shawn??? I thought it was temporary....

I wasn't sure why I kept seeing all the different handles with your name....

I thought someone was messing with you.... ???

so what finally got you banned?

regarding the 911 vs 993 vs 944 vs 914 vs 9whatever ....... the only people who have a need to knock what you drive are the people who have bigger issues than me or you put together. What you drive does not make you any better or any worse than anyone else.... don't let it get to you

I actually visit the 911 board to find tips on what years to avoid etc (shopping for one)..and skip over all the moronic posts over there......... the 944 turbo board on the other hand........ should just get renamed "how many times do I have to replace my head gasket from overboosting"..... I think the 944 turbos are in the same dilemnas as the 944na.... we want to squeeze a few extra horses out of a machine, that maybe was not meant to produce over 250 hp....(blasphemy!!!)

And to praise the 944/924/928 (includes those rare S and S2 guys that don't get in trouble)..... this board always answers my questions..... and with the added plus of a couple of jokes thrown in for good measure.....

Ok Rollins, put a quick link to this thread we so called 911 dudes are calling you others names and such?

Point out a thread, because I have read EVERY post on 911 board and I don't remember seeing nothing that would be offensive towards other Porsche drivers.

I'll admit, the name calling is pretty minimal. BUT whenever there is a reference made to the 944 board there are usually comments made.
