You'd have to have been under a rock for years to not know Jon and Kate, the Kardashians and Lady Gaga. But somehow I got this far not knowing dick about Howie Mandel. I thought you were talking about Howie Long.

But, the thread is on point. None of these people deserve any attention. I understand LG has a good set of pipes. Why then wasn't she happy enough to be a singer? No, she want's more, is willing to be a freak to get it and that's why she shouldn't have any.

I guess I live under a rock. The only Kate I know that is famous just had a future king. I don't think her hubby is Jon. I don't care about the royal family or whoever that other Jon and Kate are.

Say what you want about Lady Gaga, the girl can seriously sing. That is one form of real talent. The rest, not so much.

Didn't read through all of this but have always been amazed that Adam Sandler became anything more than a bus boy. He's proof that talent, ability, skill are not needed for a Hollywood career.

For those of you who have not heard Lady Gaga, have you heard Madonna? Same thing, almost literally, with different outfits.

I still could not pick out a Lady Gaga song. But then I don't hang in the places where they'd be played and certainly don't listen to those kinds of radio stations. I thought she was just someone who was always trying to make a silly fashion statement. Glad to know she's a real musician and performer, more so than even Madonna. I have to wonder if Madonna would have ever become famous if not for having started right in the early days of MTV.
