I honestly don't know man... thats what so freaking weird about it... I've only had one other celestial event occur in my lifetime that I could not determine an explanation for... it was during Desert Storm.. it was at night and I was on the port bridge wing, underway off the coast of Kuwait... What I saw in the sky above the ship appeared to be one of those dollar bottle rockets going off... not the cheap ones that just POP, but the ones that have the nice bright white sparkles... I thought that it may have been a meteor, but it showed no signs of entry (tail, flight path etc..) just a black sky and "poof" a bunch of bright white sparkles with no sounds... I asked the OOD if he wanted me to log it in the ships log and he declined so I forgot about it until you brought up having your eyes to the skies... my wife told me yesterday that the local news had run a story a couple weeks ago about strange lights in the sky approximately 30 miles west of my location, so I don't know.... just weird is all... |

You can report it online if you don't want to have a MUFON investigator come to take your report: National UFO Reporting Center
Read some other reports from Texas here... lots of sightings... the summary tells you briefly what was seen... click on the blue date/time link to the left for more detail: ndxLocOut The advantage to talking to a MUFON investigator is that you can find out if anyone else in your area saw it, too. Do I believe in Aliens...No! Do I believe in Unidentified Flying Objects...Yes.
Years ago I was sitting on the back porch with my mother, it was about 8 PM or so. This bluish green ball of light appears over some trees at about 50ft. coming right at us. I thought, that is strange it must be a helicopter, but wait there's no noise. As it got closer I could see it was just a glowing ball about 10ft in diameter gliding along at about 15mph dead silent. It then shot straight up hundreds of feet directly above us and split into two. They started to do what I can only describe as a dance of sorts with sharp 90deg angles. It then came back into one and accelerated away like lightning toward the west. I wasn't scared, but just blown away at what I had just witnessed. (I was on the phone with my buddy yelling play by play moves in his ear.) My mother on the other hand about had a heart attack and still doesn't like to talk about it. |
Just to give u an idea of the area I'm in. Little more to the right there is a row of old eucalyptus trees that it came over.

Fine, I won't tell you about the one I saw last night...

Bill, don't let the cheap shotters bother you.
One or two of them may have their minds warped one day by seeing something that's obviously not one of ours. In daylight. A coupla hundred yards away. It happens. To credible, trained observers like LEO's, pilots, and military personnel. |

Am I the only one that wishes he could see a UFO? Damn, that'd be great.
Hey, if you need a place to stay, come on down. You can phone home from here. I've got a great calling plan. :D |
