St Charles - Chicago area Pelicans?

I am at the Porsche Parade in St Charles. Wednesday evening I will have an open evening and I am looking for suggestions. I would like to meet up with some local Pelicans and have a beer and dinner. I will be done with the day's activities after 5:00 pm. I am willing to drive a few miles to meet up with a fellow Pelican.

Is there anyone out there willing to meet up with a fellow Pelican 911 guy for a few beers, dinner and swap some lies? I will buy your first beer!

If all else fails what is a local good place to have a nice meal in the St Charles area? I am open for suggestions.

In the area but I am burried with work and prepping motorcycles for Beaver run.

Try the filling station for a nice casual experience.

A bit fancier, next town south in Genvea Il.

Way back in High school a buddy bussed tables there and Governer Big Jim Tompson was a semi regular.

The Hideaway is nice place just north of town.

Just saw this thread. I am supposed to be downtown Chicago tomorrow evening looking at apartments, otherwise I would definitely be up for dinner.

There is a really good restaurant right downtown St. Charles called ZaZa's

The Family of Francesca Restaurants in Chicago and the Surrounding Suburbs.

There are a couple of bars downtown with cool patio's, Pub 222 and The Filling Station. Tomorrow night is $1.50 domestic bottles at Filling Station so it will be crowded with a fairly young crowd (FYI).

I just recently discovered the House Pub, its a pretty cool spot with over 100 different beers.

We're just busy Glen. Actually we had a group together last Sunday and caravan-ed to Parade, but it was tough putting that together as we were all sneaking away from other family obligations. Wife and I have a new baby and the wife wouldn't like it if I didn't come straight home from the office...otherwise I'd meet you for a beer.

Thanks but I found some friends that want to walk the few hundred feet to Portillo's from our hotel.

A friend from home recommended it and said I would miss a chance of a lifetime if I miss it. I think it will be a great place to eat. I will report back!
