I guess I need to be carefull when I take my boat out these days~

I drive a 16 foot Larson, with an 85 hp Yamaha on the back-

Around the canals of Fort Lauderdale. I bought this boat combination, a 1996 product, from a neighbor for the ripe price of $1800. While this isn't "pocket change", it isn't a lot of money, and I just said "what the hell". My other car is a Ford Aerostar, and since these are rear-drive, they can easily pull a trailer with a boat, which is what this thing came with.

Well, I have actually, from my house...taken my little boat, known as the MV Happy Pelican...down the canals and actually out the inlet near Port Everglades twice.

During those two trips into the Atlantic Ocean from my humbe dock, commonly known as "Port Normy", I haven't seen much at all. No fish [well, a couple of nurse sharks], and hardly any ships at all.

Apparently I went out at the wrong time, because nuclear submarines are turning up all over the place according the local newspaper!

Submarine sightings: South Florida residents spy mystery subs - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

Go to the South Florida - Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade breaking news, sports, weather, traffic, hurricane coverage, restaurants, jobs, real estate, classifieds and consumer help - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com to see the actual picture of the conning tower above the waves!

Me: I'd turn on my engine and get right in front of the periscope: Then I would pull my pants down and MOON the submarine! The reason? I suspect the sub would stop, the tower would surface, and the Captain would pop the hatch, climb out and yell:

"What the hell are you doing!"

N!

Normy, I don't reccommend that. My bro was on a sailboat taking it to main from Houston to avoid Hurricane season. Well they "stumbled" upon a carrier battle group. Seahwak goes around telling everything to clear out of the area. Then they have bombing practice.

He says it was the coolest thing he has ever seen.

I personally crap my pants if a Nuke sub went to periscope depth in front of me.

So you'd drop trow and offer up your rear for the tube hoping the captain would, "pop the hatch"?

TMI man, TMI.
