Nicolas Hayek has Died

Very sad day in Swiss watchmaking circles. Nicolas Hayek, head of the Swatch group, died unexpectedly in his home. He was a great lover of Swiss watches and almost singlehandedly saved the Swiss watchmaking industry during the quartz watch invasion.

Innovative, driven, astute, passionate, clever and a visionary.

I am very sorry to hear this.

That being said, if I glanced at the title of this thread, and my stream-of-consciousness went as follows:

"Hayek...died...WHAT!!! My Salma is gone!?!?!? wait Nicolas...oh ok...."

...does that make me a bad person?

I have a few Swatches that I bought a few years ago at a Swatch store in Chicago. I got them for sentimental purposes since they reminded me of the ones I had in HS.
