Rain-Rain go away...
This is part of the moisture stirred up from Alex. Remember, Houston is flat. And the south parts, REALLY FLAT!
We've only had 4-5" of rain. Parts of Angleton have had 12-15"! And we have another 24-36 hours of storms to go...

Fortunately, Houston has been very dry this summer, and this rain has come down very gradually over the last 36ish hours so we've had no flash flooding.
From my gauge at my house.

It's been a weird one here, off and on since Wednesday about 4 pm. It turned loose hard then. 6 inches in 12 hours, much of which came in about 2. It's been spotty though. 20 miles away it's raining real hard, back at the ranch, nothing.
We'll take it though, no complaints.
