These men were brilliant and had amazing foresight. It's a tragedy that we've allowed "education" to marginalize them and their accomplishments, and to reduce us collectively to a more easily controlled and subjected populace - just as they feared might happen and just as they tried to prevent from happening by instituting a form of government intended to prevent it.

Kids always wonder, "Why is school important? How's any of this stuff useful?" Well, it certainly would have been useful to have paid attention during 7th grade American history to understand how our country came about and to realize how far we've drifted away from a lot of those founding principles. Sheeple don't give a crap today because they don't even know they should give a crap.

I wonder when these findings of the founders intentions will show up in various bill of rights cases in front of the supreme court. Subjects are not entitled to arms, citizens are and if this "error" (as the LA times is reporting it) is to be "interpreted" there seems to me, IMHO, no doubt where the authority and the right exist.

And for Jefferson to see so far in advance of the ilk of the Daily's of this world and the Calderon's, wow, truly amazing.

I read that a couple days ago and wondered how he could have put down "subjects" in the first place. What was he thinking? He heh, they didn't have White-Out in 1776.
