Fingers crossed...
I've been watching it off and on for days now. Very interesting, but I wish they had a typed running commentary on what they were doing on each screen as it happens. |

Me. I thought about it the day that it was $27, but procrastinated. I finally bought in a few days ago at $36. That hurt. That's me, always a day late and $9 short...
Oh well. Still, it's almost $39 now. But I'm in for the long haul. I'd like to see it get back into the $50s at least.

this is a temporary thing - they still need to get the relief wells in there and pump concrete
re a month ago - I'm sure they worked as fast as they could - it also needs to be tested before trying it -- last thing you want is for the cap to crack some rock strata or something anyway, it is a significant improvement |

Remember what they are doing is about as hard and complicated as if they were trying to do it on the moon. BTW, in 48 hours they are going to open it up again. They are worried about the stability of the ocean floor and the well casing. They are taking measurements and after a couple days they will decide if it's safe to close the valves again. They don't want to have the casing blow out or the sea floor to crack open. if that happened they would not be able to control it. They would not be so concerned about it if it wasn't a possibility. Odds are this is not over. |

so, sammy, have they implanted seismic devices on the ocean floor?
if so, do you know what kind? here in volcano land, they use satellite based devices to measure suspicious bulges on mtn sides - but they can't get a GPS read under the ocean |
