those are great walleye!!
light hardware bro. that is a spinning reel right? crazy light..and short. i used to pull them up with bass gear. 6' medium gloomis with some baitcaster reel. just haul them up. |
yea spinning reel. the setup is for small bass and perch. getting walleyes, i can actually feel the rod's handle flex under my palm, so that the reel seats loosen up a bit when the fish run hard. pretty sweet.
got some big pike on this setup this summer so far...man those things strip the reel fast when they run. gotta love fish that have teeth. bass are pretty boring to me these days i must admit, even the big ones as they only seem to tug and not run away with the line gotta love that sound of the drag working....ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnngggggg |
that's is why i love a baitcasting reel. when the fish runs..i love the adrenaline of putting on the brakes with some thumb pressure.
you are living the life my friend. except the ventilated thumb. |
never used one. gotta get one of them
the good thing about being jobless...living at parents lake house with a lot of time on my hands. fishing 4 hours a night, every night |
I caught a treble in the cheek few summers back. I wanted the wife to get it out so I could get back to fishing. Too deep had to go to the Clinic and have it removed. They added it to the wall of shame.
Town of 600 people the clinic removes about 400 hooks a year. Keep fishing ! |
