Another bad Bp photoshop job
disgusting
BP Photoshops Another Official Image Terribly Don't know if these will show up or not... http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets...photoshop2.jpg The first thing you might notice out of place is the looming air traffic control tower in the upper left hand side of the photo: http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets...ictower_01.jpg http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets...ceanchange.jpg http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets...0x_bppilot.jpg And last, while the helicopter clearly appears to be situated at some height above the boats ahead, the readouts on the dash appear to indicate that that door and ramp are open and the parking brake engaged, not to mention that the pilot appears to be holding a pre-flight checklist: http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets...0x_bpdash1.jpg And so on. As one reader pointed out, the tower may in fact be an oil rig adjacent to a helipad (which would also explain why the pilots are in prep mode), but the photo's still clearly been doctored. Badly. |
Haha well this time I think it was just to make nice scene instead of duplicate a picture 4 times over.
|
who cares!?
I mean if BP had a real shot from one of their many copters in the area would that make everything okay? |
|
Can't they hire someone better?

I've met you, and Superman is not you. Does that make you a liar? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1279810791.gif I mean, these pict's are for some sort of "Hey look, we're working on it" theme for their website; right? Would it have been better if they had interrupted those, who were trying to get their jobs done, by holding them up until they get the right angle . . .the right light balance... Maybe I should feign some outrage over simulated screen images on commercial spots for the iphone  Seriously, some of you guys will jump on ANY (stupid) reason to be pissed at BP. Hey, here's one: they spilled a bunch of oil in the gulf! |

Why wouldn't they just take a picture from a real helo instead of photoshopping one?
It would be more credible,in my opinion. How easy is it to manipulate video in the same manner? |
Staying on topic...

For once I have to agree with Island... I'm not sure why anyone cares about these images - photoshopped or not. They seem to me like just another red herring.
|
What concerns me is in the original photo, the pilot still has his fingers crossed.
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4141/...da0404c64d.jpg Anyway, I don't see the point in why BP feels it has to do this. If anything, the incident seems somewhat isolated from a world view. Why? At our hotel in Rome last week, BP had a big BP-Italia conference and lunch. No camera crews were outside, no protesters, nothing like that. |
So what, really, so what?
|
Honest people don't Photoshop!

:D - good one, McLovin. .. . and yeah, now we know who is honest.
|
So, is the cap on the well photoshopped any better?
|
I thought on choppers the pilot sat on the right. Fixed wing, on the left.
