Best Monster?

Inspired by the Godzilla kung fu comments on another thread, I thought a best movie monster contest might be fun...

his purpleness-prince would be neck and neck with GAWD-ZIRRA(godzilla) and the creature from the black(BP) lagoon!

being a diver for 34 years JAWS(aka BRUCE) gets honorable mention. hillary also along with feinstein/pelosi, tend to make me have diarrea so i guess that qualifies also.

Gets my vote too. Made decades before computers entered the monsters game.

I'll go with Forbidden Planet also. Besides it's one of my all time favorite movies.

Xenomorphs are by far the most terrifying (the whole parasitic angle and the acid for blood....yikes), but i think Predators are probably the toughest of the lot.

This one was my saturday afternoon childhood favorite!

My lovely assistant says the monster from the host was pretty neat.

Honorable mention goes out to Medusa in the 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans. Mighty cool.

Ebola

A monster doesn't have to be large to be deadly...

My vote:

It can stamp out entire villages.
It silently comes in.
You can't see it.

The ebola virus.
