Don't think you can make up for decades of lack of water by drinking like a fish now, though. Six 32 oz glasses sounds like far too much water, even if you're engaged in a lot of physical activity. It is possible to drink too much water.

I remember being told the requisite amount was eight 12oz glasses a day. Which I always thought, and still think, it a lot.

Then again, at one time in college I was averaging between 8-12 beers a day. So maybe I just need water to come in a pull-tab can :)

EDIT:. make that 6- 16 oz glasses.. LOL. oops, big difference.. LOL..
