11:1 compression ratio?

What octane gas does it use?

Could fit in a lawnmower:

Lessee...$14,500 for the Government Motors engine vs. $7 K for the Ford? Apples & oranges, money wise...

But if you believe there is no replacement for displacement backed by cubic dollars, I'll take that 550 horse chevvy and raise you...

11:1 is not high.

A new 987S has a 12.5:1 compression ratio.

how about a Go Kart?

or the next closest thing... a 914

pwd72s 08-04-2010 07:53 PM

Yep, computer management systems allow for some pretty high compression ratios these days...even for use with pump gas.

Image what you could do to the 5.0L with the 8k difference to the 427. Anyways It's all aluminum, and twin cams... Goodies would definitely be cheaper then to the 928 5.0L

Is it just me, or is doing donuts the biggest waste of time/fuel/tires since the Chevy Vega?

Ford Racing Performance Parts - [Crate Engines]

If all you want to do is convert gasoline into noise you could just install a harley engine. ;)

BTW, forced induction beats displacement every time.

GH85Carrera 08-05-2010 05:40 AM

Cubic dollars win it all. Look at the F-1 engine.
