garage floor paint ? Going over existing
My new man cave garage has existing floor paint. Not sure what it is but it seems in very good shape. But it's a darker gray than I like and the previous owners name is spelled out with the flecks you toss on the wet paint

I would at least scuff up the paint before trying to adhere a new layer.

Clean and degrease.
Aggressively sand floor to promote adhesion. Coat with 2-component urethane.

UCoat It Do-it Yourself Floor Coatings for a Durable, Protective Finish If you are not going to sand the whole floor with a floor grinder, you should probably at least etch the surface with a muriatic acid sollution.
