"In other words, that's a hemp farm...very low THC in those plants...you'd need to smoke a bale to get a buzz."
They grew it in Iowa during the war to make (hemp) rope, thats why you still see some grownig wild road ditches. Iowana, we called it. "that ***** wouldn't get a fly high" Jim |
Ten years ago when I went on my 3 month jaunt down the carribean chain, I had a unique and scary experience. We landed on St Vincent and rented a clapped out Jeep to explore the island. Another ftiend had joined us so he and I decided to do some exploring while my gf was taking a nap at the hotel. We were wandering around the backroads getting farther and farther off the beaten path. As e got further inland in the hilly region we were enjoying the vista looking out at the ocen in the distance we suddenly realized that the lush vegitation was a huge pot field. Like a few hundred acres. With plants up to 20 feet tall.
We couldn't believe our luck. At about the time we decided to snag a few buds, out stepped 3 BIGGGGG rasta dudes with AK47's. They were not pleased. We waived and turned around and got the hell outta there. On a separate note, OLe Miss has a huge pot field (under tight security) as it grows and processes high grade marijuana for all federal research programs. Right near the golf course. Kids have been caught using rods and reels with treble hooks trying to "snag" some square grouper. |
i do have some friends that have a random wild hog problem..they grow.
they told me they get $4000 per plant..this kid owns his land..and his county turns a blind eye towards the smaller operations. he stays right under the 100 plant limit. i hunted it once..i was kinda uncomfy. there were honda EU3000 generators scattered everywhere. |
Yes pot was originally banned due to intensive lobbying from the cotton industry because hemp fibers were far cheaper to produce, and stronger.
Ahh, the early days of government subsidies. |

After returning home, I needed to go see my father in the "big city" for a week. In the boat was a 2 gallon plant container that had my first "green thumb" attempt, two pot plants. My Mom walked out and saw the boat, then saw the plant and so on. I asked Mom if she would water the plant while I was gone and she looked at it a bit, then turned to me and asked "what kind is it, I have never seen one like this?" I replied "you do not want to know" and she thought about it for a while, then looked at me and said "well, I have heard about this stuff but never seen it. I am not happy with it, but it is a plant and I would hate to see a plant die, so I will water it for you." Mom was an art professor at a local college and am sure that she was at some time exposed to pot but as she was getting up in years by that time, doubt that she tried it. I kept the plant for another couple of months, dried it then tried a bit of it. It tasted terrible.... and ended up in the trash the next weekend! Not all Moms were "un-cool" about things like this but then it was also 40 years ago! Joe A |
i'd box it up, and ship to THE WHITE HOUSE and see if it may help their thought processez.
come on there is a remote chance it may work. |

We know how that administration ended up. Sending all of this weed could not make it any worse IMHO... |
