what would you do if you were hiking and found a field of pot plants?
three times now..some of these guys are amazingly hard workers..they pack in hundreds of bags of fertilizer..i think on their backs!! they siphon water out of streams and springs..and set up gravity fed drip irrigation. there are no roads nearby..they pack it all in with manpower or mules, i guess. but i have never seen a horse-trail.
i usually turn around and go WAAAAYY around. i wont even take a picture. some co-workers wondered why i didnt call in the cops. GPS coordinates? i did ask a sheriff at a burger joint after one such discovery. he said they wont do anything unless it is a huge grow operation..the less than 100 plants i see isnt even a blip on their radar. i see that black waterline, and i am turning around.. when is harvest time anyways? |
look around for the weapons cache - might be worth more than the drugs

Get out the zig-zags.

There are stories of the larger and more sophisticated ones being rigged with booby traps. I'd steer clear.

They spot them from the air here, I bet a dozen plants would net a raid. Jim |
GTFO fast is what I'd do.
Then start rifle hunting. By then they are all harvested. ;) Georg |

Seems like an expensive arm of the ol' "war on drugs", though. |

^^^ How do you hide a field like that?
|
You don't. I lease my farm to my neibour. He grows it under government licence. Harvests with a huge rotary mower. They extract the oil from the seeds. The stalks can be used to make paper. That is what some people say is the reason it was first banned.
