Crap. I think I have pleurisy again.

Ouch. Starting feeling it after lunch, and the pain is starting to become more frequent. Sharp stabbing pain just below my heart.

Any ideas guys? Last time this happened I took a couple of motrin a day for a couple of days.

This is a little different than the last time though. It used to be every breath I would get a stab. Now it just seems to come ad go, no matter how deep my breathes are.

Here is a link....Pleurisy

When you get the sharp pain, raise your hands above your head, exhale deeple, inhale and exhale a few times and see how you do. Have seen people get a fold in there, you exhale and it shrinks a bit, move and it alows fold to straighten out. Does not always work 100%, usually helpful.

Tobra, I swear between this and my big toe you have been keeping me alive.

One of these days I owe you not only a six pack, but a keg of beer.

I had Pleurisy and pneumonia - spent 8 painful days in a hospital in Panama City FLA - not fun. I hope you don't have it.

Inspiration Spirometer, but Rika already knew that.

Wait, I thought those were an inhale, not exhale deal, better stick to feet

I'm sorry to hear this, Tom. Do you know how you got it?

You should likely see your MD, and at a min. log this event into a diary to take with you next visit. Add what you did re tmt. and how well it seemed to work.

Pretty sure I get it from stress. Last time this happened (Senior HS) I was under a lot of stress. I don't get it often enough for it really to be a worry, but man does it hurt!

I am talking, bend ya over kind of hurt.
