previous post took 9 (!) seconds to load with quickreply.
That's slow, no??
Most of the time it's much quicker;

I've noticed the latencey issues during heavy traffic on this board, say between 8am pst and 6pm pst. The upgrade you did was noticable, however it seems the last month has been especially slow during these peak times.
I've experienced it on a newer laptop running on fiber at the wifes office (works for an ISP/data center with gigantic redundant fiber backbone's from Internap, Quest and TW's level 3)

Possibly the ads that load on the page as mentioned in the other thread have something to do with it as well?

I think we can live with it Wayne, seriously, were just a bunch of PP BBS junkies we start to withdrawl if the pages don't load in a blink of an eye.

I just wish my BB loaded 'any' web page quickly!

it is intermittent. Sometimes, it's completely frozen for minutes. Right now, it's loading pretty fast.

I will also add intermittent, sometimes painfully slow, sometimes T-1 fast. 99 percent of the time, no problems.

I had a problem before I upgraded my browser to IE8. In the time since (2 weeks) no problems whatsoever. Other sites are considerably faster, too.

That's my experience as well.
I'm not complaining, just an FYI.

PPOT/PARF is much faster with the clicks now. As quick as that "G" website.
That's not the business/expense side, but it's faster.

Most of the time Pelican is fast. Sometimes, though, there are long delays (like 30 seconds) to open a thread.
